In a lot of applications, the end user needs an industrial blender to mix or blend ingredients. A typical application is mayonnaise production or milk powder re-constitution. The blender uses mechanical force via high speed blending head or centrifugal pump to create a vacuum and draw powders into a recirculating line.
How does an industrial blender work?
Overall, it is basically imparting shearing forces to the liquids, powders, granules, salts that help break them down into uniform particle sizes. In the cosmetics sector, oil and water based products are blended by high speed homogenizers.
There are a number of applications but in essence, you are combining differing elements into a single mixture. Some examples include cosmetics sector, dairy sector (milk powder) and food sector etc.
What is the difference between an industrial powder blender and a continuous Inline blender?
Both are of the same. Industrial would normally refer to factory scale production levels. For some processes, the addition of powder is continuous and fed via a hopper or bulk bag into a blending tank or inline blending unit. The inline blending unit would have a high shear pump or centrifugal pump to draw in the powders and circulate the product.
What is the purpose of a mobile IBC blender?
Clients often receive ingredients in an IBC or Bulk container. To assist in the steps reduction, some clients will blend the ingredients from more than one IBC through a main line that feeds into the main production tank.
What is a conical blender used for?
A conical blender is often used in the mixing of powders with differing specific gravity. Materials of construction are typically Stainless steel 316 or an exotic alloy or Glass lined depending on the industry being supplied to. This could be the addition of an active ingredient to a pharmaceutical with a carrier powder.
Which type of industrial blender could you use for food ingredient addition ?
Depending on the amount of powder, you could use and top / bottom entry high shear agitator or an inline table blender. These can handle over 9000 kg/hr as a continuous feed with full automation support, level detection and pad vibration to prevent bridging. It can be incorporated with typical bulk bag receivers. This could be an integrated system for bulk handling of ingredients and inline blending.
